Across the airport runway from the Cristopher Columbus hotel (which is
on the beach) there is a small hotel that I believe is called the
Trujillo Bay (or Quinta Bay). There is a small restaurant attached. It
is a short walk to the beach and several nice eating places on the beach
with reasonable prices, including the "Gringo Bar". The runway seldom
sees use, so it's not a problem. I haven't been to Brinkley's for a long
time, but is was pretty run down before. The view is beautiful, and
worth the trip up the mountain road.
The Columbus has nice rooms overlooking the ocean, and 2 pools, but I
doubt that you could get a room there for You can see the choices and prices at www.honduras.com/hondurastips.
Click on Trujillo and then Hotels.
