Adam:
You'll find both Copan and the islands to be the major tourist
spots in Honduras. The island of Utila is the cheaper of the three
and popular for getting scuba certified.
You may find Santa Rosa, Copan an interesting town; I live
nearby. Also, not far away from Santa Rosa is the quaint town of
Gracias, Lempira. There should be some info on each of these on the
web.
