Mitch was 5 years ago. Any damage that was done from that storm in the Bay Islands has been repaired, rebuilt or regrown. As far as the reef goes, it is in very good condition. I think you will be amazed at what you'll see.
November is in the rainy season, but like anywhere ... who can forecast what the weather will be. Most likely, your vacation will not be washed out and even if there is a passing shower, there's plenty of other things to do. Go and enjoy!
