i moved to laceiba about a year ago from roatan. i love it here.... .people are extremely friendly... do not rely on expats for your experience here......
by the way i have had a similar experience to you at expats bar.....
the honduran people have been extremely helpful to me. the only downfall for me is my not knowing spanish...i am learning but i would encourage you to learn as much as possible
before arriving.. there are also great schools here.
the beauty here and the amount of things to do are tremendous.
