Tammy -
With the information you have you may want to just sit down and write
a letter to your husband's mother (perhaps your husband could include
a note as well). In the area outside La Ceiba you are describing
there are not a whole bunch of wealthy folks and people don't
generally move around alot.
Send it by post to Mercedes Durte Martinez, Tripoli, La Macica,
Atlantida, Honduras, C.A.
You may even add parenthetically under Mercedes name (mama de "your
husband's name")
Its amazing how mail actually does find people, eventually, and how
many people the mailman knows. Do include a telephone number. You
might be surprised by a collect telephone call in three weeks or so.
