Listos,
Last week, we received a message from an individual who will be leading a 20-member mission team to Honduras in June. He was seeking a recommendation for a nice place to stay near Tegucigalpa's Toncontin airport. Unfortunately, I was unable to give him a recommendation because I was unfamiliar with any hotels in that particular area. I always stay with family when I go to Tegucigalpa or stay somewhere more central like the Maya Hotel.
Well, guess what... today we received an e-mail from David Paolo, who is the manager of the Tegu Airport Bed & Breakfast. And "no", this is no coincidence. Remember, I do not believe in coincidences, rather "positive energy" and "intentional thought".
Anyway, Paolo notified me that he would like to offer volunteer workers traveling to Honduras a 20% discount on accommodations (plus breakfast) at his B&B. The B&B is located only 1 kilometer from the airport.
The Tegu Airport Bed & Breakfast becomes the 18th business to participate in projecthonduras.com's Social Tourism Program (http://www.projecthonduras.com/socialtourismprogram). To view the page we've created for the B&B, go to http://www.projecthonduras.com/socialtourismprogram/tegucigalpa/teguairportb&b.h\ tm
To see the list of businesses in Honduras that offer discounts to volunteer workers ("social tourists"), go to http://www.projecthonduras.com/conference and click on "Social Tourism Program" (left hand column).
A more direct route is simply to look at the bottom of projecthonduras.com's opening page (http://www.projecthonduras.com).
If anyone needs more info or would like to make reservations to stay at the Tegu Airport Bed & Breakfast, feel free to e-mail Paolo at TeguAirportByB.....es
Thanks, Marco
