If you want to do a little bit of work yourself on your mainland
vacation you can get a lot of ideas out of Dave Borton's Honduras
Vacation Guide and Honduras Tips Magazine (we have both of these
resources, and more, linked at our web site). Also check out the
resources at Travel-to-Honduras.com.
Copan is a great destination as is La Ceiba, the Eco-Tourism Capital
of Honduras. La Ceiba is your only destination for white water
rafting and is only 20 minutes from the Bay Island by air and an hour
to an hour and a half by boat.
If you happen to be traveling the third week in May you will be in
time for the La Ceiba Carnaval as well.
