I just spoke by phone with Dennis Flores of Maya Temple Tours
(www.mayatempletours.com) in San Pedro Sula. Dennis has kindly
offered to assist individuals who will be attending the Conference on
Honduras 2004 with lodging reservations in Copan Ruins. You may

Conferees are responsible for making their own travel and lodging
arrangements. The offer by Maya Temple Tours is for those who simply
need a little help.
NOTE: We strongly advise people to make their lodging reservations
well in advance of the conference. Ours is not the only event that
will be taking place in Copan Ruins during late-October, and there
are only so many hotel rooms in town.
We now have a total of 122 people registered to attend the
conference. To see a list of these individuals and their
organizations, go to

opening page of the projecthonduras.com site
(www.projecthonduras.com), you'll notice on the left-hand column some
scrolling text that keeps track of the number of people registering
and the names of the groups they represent. The number will be
updated whenever we receive a new registration.
Please note that September 30 is the last day to register for the
Conference on Honduras 2004. All the information you need regarding
the event can be found at www.projecthonduras.com/conference. Of
course, you are also welcome to e-mail me at hondopost.....com if
you have any specific questions.
The reason we're cutting off registrations on September 30 is because
we'll need the three weeks prior to the conference to focus on
finalizing the program and last minute logistics for the event. The
more time we have to focus on these things, the more smoothly things
will go during the conference.
Given the the size of the Municipal Conference Center in Copan Ruins,
we have decided to limit the number of conferees to 400. Thus, if
you know you will be attending, please move quickly and register to
ensure a seat.
