Hi, I realize this is short notice, but I just saw your e-mail. =C2=A0I sta= yed 3 nights at Apart Hotel Villa Nuria Mother's Day weekend. It was $58.00= per night. There were 2 of us. We had 2 bedrooms. One with 2 twins and one= with 1 Full bed. An area with table/chairs, 2 burner unit for cooking, and= pots, pans, etc. A bathroom and living room area. Cable tv. VERY nice and cl= ean! The entire outside grounds looked great. Pool and playground for kids.= VERY safe because guard(s) at front gate. They also had watchmen around th= e grounds. We left several things on the back of our truck and everything w= as there the next mornings. There is a restaurant=C2=A0where we ate breakfa= st which was included. I was not found of the eggs nor the bacon (which was= not included on the free breakfast). I should have gotten the pancakes. = =C2=A0Internet building where I was able to plug in my laptop and cost was = very little to use their internet. Their website is: http://www.villanuria.hn
however, I went online and filled out their page for them to e-mail me. I n= ever did get a response. Before going to San Pedro, I was living at Helen's= Hotel and Restaurant at Sambo Creek. I got Jack, the PR person there, to m= ake the call for me to make the reservation. He speaks, French, English and= Spanish. I'm not sure who was working in the reservation office because th= e person traveling with me spoke Spanish and took care of paying, etc. They= have lots of rooms but I was told it was best to make reservations. Check = out the website. They are close to the airport like the Microtel. I've stay= ed there at the beginning of my stay in Honduras in January. They are safe = however they were more =C2=A0expensive and I like the breakfast there bette= r than villa Nuria. However their facilities is just a bedroom and bath roo= m no cooking facility. There is a restaurant next door. Since I was staying= 3 nights before leaving Honduras, it was nice to be able to fix something = to eat in the room that I had brought with me from Sambo.=C2=A0
I had stayed several years ago at Villa Nuria and was not happy and did not= plan to go back; however, someone that was staying at Helen's in Sambo Cre= ek encouraged me to try it again. I'm glad I did! Faye from NC -----Original Message----- From: Bluebell18.....com To: travel-to-honduras.....com Sent: Fri, 23 May 2008 3:03 am Subject: [travel-to-honduras] Tamarindo Hostel?
Hi, I posted before how I will be in San Pedro Sula with a late flight..and= am looking for a SAFE place to stay for the night...thank you for
suggestions...some of you suggested Microtel..but it is very expensive, the= rate they
gave me is $75 plus taxes for one bed, $85 plus taxes for two beds. Too
expensive for me, unfortunately. I have been looking into other options, = is
Tamarindo Hostel in a safe area??? Any other options, I leave this Sunday.= Somebody else suggested Villas Nuria, but I called, and there was not anyb= ody who
could speak English to help me. Do they have an email or website? I could= n't
find one either. Any help would be great! Thanks!
