Hi Kenneth, Yes, Roatan has all that you ask for and more. And yes the sand flies are a problem, not so much so in Feb. though - that is when the mosquitoes are bad due to the end of rainy season. In a previous response, I mentioned a botanical based bug repellent that uses the repellents found in Essential Oils and it is made on Roatan. Here I would like to addess the accomodations. You may want to take a look at the places where Temptation Island (Palmetto Bay & Luna Beach) was filmed - they accomodate the size group of which you speak very well. Palmetto Bay has been selected for several weddings for wedding partys from both off and on the island. You can find a link to Palmetto Bay from the roatanet and a link to my home there as well - Villa Serena. My site has a lot more info and photos on the resort than the resort's does. If you select this resort, please let me know. Delight in the Earth Linda Kay www.tropicalislandvilla.com Kenneth Bingham wrote:

We are about 30 people with some couples and some singles. We have traveled to Ambergris Caye in Belize, to Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica and to Grenada. As a group, we like to hit locations that aren't the main tourist hot spots, but that do offer amenities such as: > >* Hotels that can accomodate a group of 30 >* A decent selection of restaurants >* Nightlife (we can create our own, but also like to find a bars / clubs) >* Diving (about 10 of the group are SCUBA certified) >* Some kind of day activity (examples of past activities include: hiking, snorkling, routing Mayan ruins, horseback riding through the rainforest, and canopy tours of the rainforest in Costa Rica). > >Everything I have read so far indicates that Roatan might be a good next destination for us.
