Once ZOLITUR becomes effective, the 4% tourist tax will remain in place. The 4% tourist tax is currently collected by those companies deemed to be primarily tourist-related.
The 12% tax will no longer be collected for international tourists for those companies that are Zolitur approved.
To be approved (to not collect 12% sales taxes) a company needs to visit the Zolitur office in French Harbour, and get a list of the requirements. They have just began operations...so be patient with the approval process...as usual....
