    Subject: [travel-to-honduras] invites to conference

    Hi all,

A total of 600 written invitations to the Conference on Honduras 2004
have been mailed out thus far. I am planning to mail another 100-150
    invites.

At the moment, we have 26 people confirmed to attend the event. At
this time last year, we had 21 confirmed, and so we're ahead of
schedule. Last year, more than 310 people showed up. See
    www.projecthonduras.com/conference/confirmed.htm

We have five contributing supporters, including the Municipality of
Copan Ruins, Honduras This Week newspaper, Honduras' Institute of
Tourism, Hotel Marina Copan, and Mesoamerica Travel. Numerous
individuals are donating time, equipment and services.

We also have seven businesses (... and growing) that are supporting
the conference with discounted rates for registered conferees. See
    www.projecthonduras.com/socialtourismprogram

If you know of someone who would be interested in attending the
conference and you would like me to mail them an invitation, please
e-mail me their name and address. The Conference on Honduras is a
private event, but it is open to anyone who is interested in
networking with others involved in projects to help Honduras. All
people have to do is register ahead of time (see
    www.projecthonduras.com/conference).

The strength of the projecthonduras.com network is its large base of
private citizens involved in volunteer efforts. Our mailing list of
public civil servants is rather weak, so feel free to send me names
and addresses of government representatives who might want to attend
    the conference.

    Thanks,
    Marco
