Hey Megan,
I'm glad your first trip went so well and that you are happy enough to come
back a second time.
Maybe this time you could try a trip from Tegus to SPS and from there to SPS
airport and back to get the idea of how much time and hassle is involved. I
have at least once flown out of Honduras from SPS because it had better
schedule for my plans. A friend of mine just flew his mom and aide out of
SPS with Spirit at 1am, it was a hard flight since you hardly sleep one
night but it was worth cause the price was so cheap both could fly for the
regular price of one.
Tegus will remain with limited service for some time now I believe. They
started saying they would increase the runway length by 300 meters (900 ft)
and now they are saying they can only do 100 meters (300 ft) because of land
ownership constraints and surrounding infrastructures.
Well at least the ride into Tegus is always an eye opener. Not scary at
least for me but very exciting since I know they pilots are well trained to
do it.

Thank you very much Angel for your reply. I never thought about why
Tegus was SO expensive, but the complicated runway makes a lot of
sense lol! Cannot believe I didn't think of that because I had my
first experience with flying into Tegus last January and it was quite,
um, suspenseful I guess the word could be for it! :)
Anyways, I'm just going to stick with flying from Savannah to Houston
and to Tegus. I was comfortable with it the 1st time so I'll just
stick with it and also keep my eyes out for a cheap price because you
never know!
