You arrive in SPS at 11pm. personally I would go to Microtel (get a reservation and a good quote first, lest you get stiffed by night time personnel, as someone in the forum told us it happen to her brother. Also inform them you'll arrive late). I'm not sure if the airport closes, but Spirit departs for FLL at 1am and first flights start out at about 6am so MAYBE they don't close.
Other options to go to Ceiba is bus. Don't rent and drive at night since you seem like you don't know the area. It's too dangerous unless you go real slow (like 40 km/hour in some sections). . There is all kinds of bus service leves from SPS to Ceiba. I'm not sure if buses depart from SPS's airport , otherwise you will have to taxi back to SPS to get a bus (maybe you can get a bus in Lima which is really close to the airport but I don't know).
Other forum participants will have more exact answers.
