I have a feeling that local dealers have something to do with the high import prices of new or "recently new" vehicles. I think Jeep's dealer in Honduras is Grupo Q, they are pretty strong here and stronger in El Salvador, they even have their own finance company. Some of the recent changes to vehicle import laws has been due to dealers' lobbying in congress.
