Hi Bluebell. Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Did you take lots of pictures? I for one sure would be interested in seeing them. If you could post them on the site that would be great. If not you could send them to me directly. Are you planning on going back? Did you find that it is a place you would enjoy living? Where did you stay? How much was lodging? Thanks to all those who offered me advice/suggestions on my Honduras trip.
I am back.
During my week in Honduras, I went:
snorkeling in West Bay, Roatan (twice)
cacao lagoon (canoe ride by a local, saw howler monkeys)
cuerro y salado refuge (saw howler monkeys,interesting birds)
canopy tour (sambo creek)
Zacate Falls Trail (Pico Bonito Park)
El Bejuco Waterfall (twice, once on each trail, saw 4 snakes).
It was a wonderful time, and I got to see a lot in a week's time! All
without any tours. The most difficult part was driving and asking for directions,
since I do not speak Spanish that well. It took me hours to find the Zacate
Falls Trail!
