Hi there, I think you could live very well on $2000 a month. I have a house in Tela and enjoy spending time there. I can rent it out if you are interested in testing the waters on this beautiful bay. While it is easy to get around town in cabs and on buses, it is great to have a car for excursions and trips to San Pedro or La Ceiba. Last time I spend a few months in Tela I had a fast cable internet connection put in my house through the same company that provides cable tv. There are a couple of those in town. Eating out can be inexpensive or close to US/Canadian/European prices depending on where you go. Doing your own cooking makes food very affordable. Let me know if you have further questions about Tela, or check out my website at www.colorfulmango.com Sabine To: travel-to-honduras.....comFrom: write_stuff_2.....comDate: Tue, 22 May 2007 17:47:00 +0000Subject: [travel-to-honduras] Retire to Honduras
I'm thinking about retiring to a beach area like Tela or La Ceiba. Would I be able to retire on $2,000.00 per month? Where would I live? Would I need a car? What about internet access? Is food expensive? _____ Download Messenger. Start an i’m conversation. Support a cause. Join now. http://im.live.com/messenger/im/home/?source=TAGWL_MAY07
