Roatan is extremly expensive compared to the mainland. You may be able to do it just fine if you watched everything but on the mainland you could do it for a lot less. I'm sure you will get lots of comments from others on this one but thats my opinion. There could be a lot of possibilities in the mountains or even lacieba for that matter up and down the coast. My suggestion, read read read and meet as many people to talk with directly as possible. Are you a diver? I am and have been for many years but would still consider being on the mainland simply due to costs. You could then take a ferry to utila, guanga, or roatan. Heck for that matter you can go easily by boat to the cayos canchinos for some diving. Randy(indiana)
