Hola everyone, This is kim -have joined to learn as much as I can about travel to Bay Islands and Honduras. I will be travelling with 2 17 yr old daughters and they have not been out of the US. We will spend a week on Roatan diving, then would like to explore a rainforest or jungle, see banana/coffee plantations. I have 3-4 days to work within. I am learning much reading these messages - Thank you - and the links make gathering information easy. I will be flying into San Pedro. Would like to fly to Roatan but on the return ferry to La Ceiba and bus way back to San Pedro. At the San Pedro airport is it possible to walk up to an airline counter and book 3 seats on a one way to Roatan for same day travel? One of us has a little spanish experience. Is there a schedule and fare of these local flights, besides TACA? at the airport is this information posted behind the airline counters like in USA? Is the price the same for local and tourist? Also, are Sundays treated differently than M - Sat.?(less flights, shops closed, tours not available? To visit Honduras we should have Hepetitis A/B and a course of anti-malarial medicine? It is necessary?
Thank You for any help, ideas, or suggestions. Kim
