I realize it is not the Trump Towers and people have different standards but as you say people should no where they are traveling and if you are in Honduras and at such a pretty place as JRL and you tell people not to stay somewhere you should explain yourself. The rooms do not all have private bathrooms but some do and all the rooms are very clean and nice and as good as any three star hotel on there mainland and the people make it seem like 4 stars. As for the bugs along the river. Well you are in the jungle in Central America so I kind of think it goes without saying. Anyway I just think the place is nice and ran by a Honduran and American couple and the have done a great job. Ken The rooms (at JRL) are small, they all have multiple beds, lack A/C and private baths, and there are lots of bugs along the river.
Perhaps that was the reason for the comment?
They are quite cheap though, (like $10 or so per night, I think?) so people DO stay there.

P.S. Everyone has different standards, interests and budgetary restraints for their travel. Therefore it might be helpful to include as much detail as possible when making recommendations for our inquiring visitors.
