Bluebell,
Although I have not personally been to Pico Bonito (yet) I understand from those who have been that it is well worth
the visit.
Cuero y Salado is also a great day well spent. You take the old railroad back into the refuge and then explore the
waters by canoe. The day we went we saw countless birds and howler monkeys galore. Be sure to ring sun screen,
your swim suit, and water. You can do this tour with Garifuna Tours (out of Tela). If you are staying in LaCeiba, they
will arrange to transport you (really EARLY in the morning) . Garifuna Tours is a great outfit with guides who are very
well versed. We used the several times. You can book with them via their website and e-mail.

Another great day (also booked with Garifuna Tours) is a visit to Punta Sal and if there's time, the Garifuna village of
Miami and Los Micos Lagoon.
Enjoy your visit!!!
