I agree about bringing repellent with you. It is also a good idea to have
the sunscreen/repellent. I spent ten days in Tela and did not use any stuff.
I think all the other seasons, summer, fall, winter are worse when it comes
to mosquitos. Unfortunately I did not have time while I was in Tela to go to
Lancetilla Botanical Gardens, Punta Sal, Punta Izopo or any of the other
wooded and humid areas. It is quite possible that the mosquitos are hiding
out there. In town and on the beach I go repellent free.
