Hi Min,
Tela is beautiful, I just left there last Saturday. I was traveling by
myself, and had no problems. Do not go to the beach at night, walking around
town center is no problem. If you like to be on the beach and watch the moon
at night do it where there is hotel security, like Cesar Mariscos, Telamar,
Shore Plantation in San Juan. I personally recommend Shore Plantation for a
moon-light swim in the pool and sitting comfortably on a boardwalk
afterwards watching the waves.
There is a seedy part of town, which they are currently cleaning up for
Semana Santa, meaning they closed a "top-less" bar, raised beer prices etc.
It is easy to avoid going down there. Ask people at your hotel about any
other developments. You will have a wonderful time. Which hotel are you
staying in?
