Can u travel to Mexico City ?
Taca flies from Mexico City to Honduras, either to San Pedro Sula or Tegucigalpa, and from either point you could take Islena (Taca's regional airline) to get to Roatan. you could check Taca's website at
www.taca.com or call their 1-800 number to get someone to answer your question regarding the possibilities of this journey.

We thought we had it made. A direct flight from Toronto to Roatan with
an extention on the charter to allow us to stay for 3 weeks.
Unfortunately they didn't have enough bookings to run the charter our
last week so they cancelled our whole booking. While we were trying to
rebook the other weeks filled up. Now we're back to our original idea
of flying to Cancun and making our way from there (a poor decision in
my husbands youth make it impossible for us to travel through the
States). We plan to head from the airport to Tulum, then make our way
to Placencia and catch the Gulf Cruza to Puerto Cortez and make our way
to La Cebia to catch a flight to Roatan.
Any insider tips to make this trip in as short a timeframe as possible
would be appreciated. Does anyone know of any short hop flights?
