    Subject: [travel-to-honduras] Shipping from Houston

    Cesar,
I am VERY interested in being able to ship from Houston to Roatan as I
know many other people coming from the Middle of the US are! I looked
at the websites, in Spanish, and did a altavistabablefish translation
on them but we all would like more information!
How frequently does a ship come to Puerto Cortes? Who to contact in
the states to arrange delivery of household goods and vehicles? If
one is bringing household goods and vehicle does it clear customs in
Puerto Cortes, not Roatan? and does one has to be there when that
    happens?

I know that shipping from Puerto Cortes to Roatan can be by either
Island Shipping or Puerto Cortes Gilbralter boats do these companies
arrange that if one does the redestination?

Of course the big question is cost? Does one save by not having to
say take all the stuff to be shipped to Miami from, Lets say
Nebraska? - 3-4 days travel time, costs in getting stuff to Miami - vs
savings in time to get to Houston, where there are direct flights to
    Roatan also....

Personally am VERY interested in hearing more details.
    Liz

and those of Starndard Fruit Company do it in Trujillo too, but, the
same shipping company do the job to take it to La Ceiba
(redestination) and clear it in La Ceiba, My advice contact the
Custom Agent before sending the container, you can go to
www.dipshipping.com in La Ceiba or www.Gutierrezcargo.com in San
Pedro, they both have offices in USA and here, they can give you
update figures and will recomend you the shipping company that works
    better from Houston.
