Do container ships dock in La Ceiba? My image was that Puerto Cortes is the only one able to take container ships, since Tela and Ceiba's docks had a fire or something years ago. Some Ceibeņos in the group can clear this up.
and yeah, an SUV will surely have to pay almost double than a pickup truck. The reasoning is
SUV = luxury , Pickup = work
Last time I was asked for how much the import value would be, the customs brokers that would give me a quote asked me for the VIN to give me straight answers. And the import taxes were based not only on the car's book value or invoice but also on the shipping costs and some other stuff that i've forgotten too quickly.

Our home in Le Cieba is expected to be finished soon, and we plan to
move all of our personal belongings from Dallas Texas, including
furniture,clothes,apliances,and a 2007 Nissan SUV. We hope this summer
at the latest.
I thought We had a shipping company that would ship the container
there, BUT, they only go to Puerto Cortez, we are looking for a company
that will deliver to Le Cieba Port, from Houston Port
First we need suggestions on Shipping companies,with contact numbers,
in the US. We have access to a warehouse in Le Cieba and we understand
that we need to be there when the container is off-loaded. This is not
a problem in LeCieba, But Cortez is.
Second We would like to get an idea of how much we might expect to pay
duty on the truck/SUV. We have heard rumors that an SUV is about double
of a pickup, is that true?
Any additional information is appreciated to help simplify this project
