Hello Daniel, I used to work as a Custom Agent ago and used to buy wholesale a lot, Whoever told you the container don´t come to La Ceiba is wrong, Containers come to La Ceiba through Puerto Cortes, only thing you need to ask is a Re-destino (Re-destination) to La Ceiba, any of those companies like Crowley Caribbean, SeaBoard Marine etc, can name you 10 americans and 10 from honduras do that job, you only have to pay some extra 400 or $500 US once you send the container from houston with a redestination to La Ceiba a Custom Agent ( you need one) will do the paper work to get it out of the Custom House. A truck is about $1,100 depending on the year and a SUV will be doble or triple. A Santa Fe SUV one month ago 2004 Hyunday a cousin of mine had to pay $2,300 duty to give you an idea.

First we need suggestions on Shipping companies,with contact numbers,
in the US. We have access to a warehouse in Le Cieba and we understand
that we need to be there when the container is off-loaded. This is not
a problem in LeCieba, But Cortez is.
Second We would like to get an idea of how much we might expect to pay
duty on the truck/SUV. We have heard rumors that an SUV is about double
of a pickup, is that true?
Any additional information is appreciated to help simplify this project
