Well a weed wacker is pretty big and it does have a fuel tank. I would hope your car parts were not so big. In any case I think it's best you call your airline. I brought a brand new electrica circular saw in my checked luggage and had no problem.

I have a question regarding taking auto parts to Honduras. I have an old 4x4 overthere that needs some parts. I was thinking about buying used parts here and taking them with me on my next trip, I would be flying. I was not allowed to bring a brand-new weed wacker on the plane from the US before, because it smelled ever so slightly after gasoline, although there was not a drop in it. I can imagine that used auto parts will at least have some grease on it or if I clean them smell of cleaning alcohol. What are my chances?
Thanks, Sabine Sponsored By:
