Also in La Ceiba, La Quinta is awesome and is across the street from the mall...tons of hot water, great restaurant etc very nice. The Coco Pando is less expensive and right on the beach. It is also nice and a truer "Honduran experience"

Hi Carla, The closest place to the Airport is a Microtel. The only time I had to spend the night like you are, I look hard but ended up there. I shouldn't have looked so hard. It was very clean, very nice, just like one in the States. There is nothing else close to the airport. Reasonable rates, too for what you need.

We are flying in to SPS on or about February 27th for a couple of weeks. we are needing an inexpensive hotel/motel for the first night near the airport since we will be getting in around 8:30 pm. If anyone can recommend a clean place to stay that firast night I would really appreciate it. We also will need to rent a car for our stay since we will be doing a lot of traveling in a short amount of time. Can anyone tell me if there are reasonably priced relaible rental car places. I know I can rent from hertz and I have full coverage insurance though my amex card. But there rental prices are very high. I always appreciate reading every ones posts and hope to get to meet many of you when we get there. I am sure I will be needing advice on places to stay in La Ceiba and Tela and Trujillo as well. But I will worry about that after I get the flights the rental car and the first nights accomdations handled. My computer crashed so all of you that i have been talking to I have lost your e- mail addresses and yahoo IM ID's. I hope that I hear from you all soon. Carla Brooks
