There are express services between Tegucigalpa and Guatemala City. One service is called "King Quality" , the other one I think is called "Tica Bus". I don't think they have websites. KQ has cool double-deck buses :-)

I have traveled from Merida to Guatemala City. The Mexican bus service also goes out of Cancun. It is first class. The first leg takes you to Chetumal on the Belizean border. From there, you can catch an executive class bus to Flores and on to Guatemala City. From a travel book (LP), they claim that there is service out of Guatemala City to Tegucigalpa available from Comfort Lines and others. I tried find websites for them but can't. The travel book gives a 332 6702 number. And I have not ventured that far via bus. Yep, Guatemala City was the end of that adventure. Hope this helps.
