    Angel,

Yes, I know that you can't say that it is all clear of them, but I am
glad to know your thoughts anyways! Thank you!

I am not too crazy about seeing them ANYWHERE. I can understand
seeing them in an insect zoo, sure, but still would not enjoy seeing
them lol! Yes, I have also heard about scorpions, and even though I
hope not to see one of those, I think I would rather see one of those
    than a spider!

I am very sorry about your brother getting stung by one, that's terrible!

Yes, I agree with you about Roatan too. I know I will at least see
ONE spider that looks like tarantula-like there. Like you said, it's
full of nature. Even so though, I am still hoping not to see one!
They really are ugly and I just HATE them lol!

Yes, I have heard about the mosquitoes. That is why I need malaria
    medication, right?

of big spiders. However i've lived in many places in the city and I
haven't seen "big" spiders anywhere even remotely close to
tarantula-size, except in insect zoos. I have seen tiny scorpions in
some houses that don't get a lot of human activity, like weekend
houses and things like that. My brother got stung once by one at my
dad's ranch, it's not pleasant but generally it's not an
emergency-room type of thing, unless you are alergic.
