    Don't know about the spiders but we did see a small (read baby) boa
    the first week we were here on Roatan. It was less that a foot long
    and was a beautiful colored snake......as snakes go. I'm not a big
    fan of snakes and even less so of spiders but I did hear stories of 8
    foot boa's running around on the island, though I'm hearing lots of
    stories here, and only really believing what I see for now. lol
