Okay everyone,
What are the spiders like in Honduras? Be honest now lol! :o) Are
they really huge? Do you see them a lot? Are they your typical
spiders like here in the U.S.?
Where would they be seen the most? In the city (Tegus) or on the Bay
Islands?
The reason I ask is that I was on roatanet.com lastnight and you
scroll down to where a photo is. You click on that and it brings you
to an album full of pictures! I was getting all excited because I
love looking at the pictures of Roatan just as much as Tegus. So
here I am just looking at the albums when I come to the album
called "Animals of Roatan" or some title like that. I click on it
and all these pictures come up of the different animals there.
I see this one picture but it isn't showing very clearly and it just
has "..." for the title. I thought to myself "I wonder if that is a
spider by chance?" I didn't think it would be too bad (or even too
big for that matter!) so I clicked on it and ALL OF A SUDDEN this
HUGE image of a tarantula-looking black spider pops up on the
screen. I screamed SO loud my parents heard me in the next room and
didn't know WHAT to think lol!
So anyways, if you've seen the image, are there spiders LIKE THAT ONE
in Honduras? Where abouts? In Tegus? Or just on the Bay Islands?
What is the biggest spider that anyone has seen?
I am just curious because I am literally MORTIFIED of spiders!!! I'm
still going to Honduras though no matter WHAT anyone says about them
because I can't let a spider ruin my vacation lol!

P.S. My mom is also mortified of spiders and she has told me that
the further south you go the larger they are because it is hotter
down there. She also told me they have spiders the size of dinner
plates down in South America!!
