Yes you are correct they are both residential development type areas.

Los Robles is a neigborhood that is closer to the airport than to downtown Tegus or Comayaguela. It's a pretty area a bit away from the main city. To get out of Los Robles on your own, you would generally have to call a cab or walk to the cab station near the entrance to Los Robles. They have buses too but i recommend you use cabs, properly identifed with a number on the door. I'm sure you will rarely need that since your fiance will probably drive you around everywhere. Good thing is that nowdays there are at least 2 cab companies that I know of that you can call to get a cab. They are more expensive that getting a cab off the street but it's peace of mind vrs saving a few dollars.

El Prado is another residential area but it's pretty much within Comayaguela (the nice part of it). Getting out of El Prado will be easier since you can get a cab off the street or call one. The downside is that while Los Robles is about a half a mile away from the city and thus it is quiet, El Prado is right in the city and traffic can be chaotic during peak hours. I drive thru the main street of El Prado every day on my way to work, and some times if it's late enough that traffic is low I drive thru it on my way back home.

Both places are pretty good. Actually they are better than where I live.. LOL.

How long will you be staying?

Forgive me for being late in replying to you Angel, but I found out
that my fiance's brother-in-law lives in Los Robles and my fiance will
be getting an apartment either there or in El Prado. I guess these
are like residential development type areas?

    Thanks!

both of them as Tegucigalpa when refering to the capital city. There
is actually no separate mayor for Comayaguela and Tegucigalpa, there
is one mayor for what is called "Central District" or it's nickame
    "Tegus" that includes both.
    >
    > Tegucigalpa itself is the smaller and older one of both. Most of the
historic stuff is in Tegucigalpa. Comayaguela is much larger and
covers out to the suburbs. Some people say "Comayaguela" only to a
small section of Comayaguela that is next to Tegucigalpa. That area
has the markets and a lot of auto part stores , used clothed
stores, etc. that would be the area you have been warned about. However
many many other parts of Comayaguela are safer, but they are not
called Comayaguela by the locals, but instead we say the neighborhood
names. The perception you got about Comayaguela could come from
referring only to that section. It's a common mistake from someone
trying to give advice without realizing what is the real size of
Comayaguela. Right now Tegus has about 1 million people living here.It
    is a big city.

will be staying in Comayaguela we could confirm you if it is generally
safe. Don't get nervous, get informed and you'll be ok and have a good
time while you are here. It's not Iraq, it's more like Detroit or New
    York City .
