The validity issue comes up as to date of expiration of your passport,
not date of issue. The State Department web site needs to be updated.
It should read that your passport must be valid for at least 6 months
from date of your entry into Honduras. But either way on a new US
passport with 9 years and 10 months to go you're gold.
