I'm not on the Island but those symptoms could be from several things, and since you've gone to doctors it would be rare that they could've missed them.

I'm thinking it could be dengue fever, or some strong food or water poisoning. Dengue would come from mosquitoes and is very well known at least mainland. Food poisoning is always a risk even in your own home and a bit more when one travels.

After that, if you have done Diving could have been affected by decompression going too fast up to the surface.

Again, this stuff has probably been looked over by the many Dr's and tests you've seen.

I'm reading over again and I'm assumming that since your trip was in April you are probably back home again. Dengue fever couldn't last this long, and neither food posioning. I'm not entirely sure if dengue fever has lasting side effects but during the illness there is fever, fatigue and joint pain. I've also read that the poison from some insects/snakes...etc. does have lasting side effects like the ones you mention.

I'm really sorry she has fell ill and that she still is suffering from it. I wish you luck in her recovery

    Subject: [travel-to-honduras] Illness
My wife and I visited Roatan in April, She fell ill two days into our
trip (fever, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea) and has been
suffering from fevers, hives/rashes, joint pain, and fatigue since. We
have seen many Dr's and have had many tests performed but none have yet
to figure out what is wrong. Is anyone aware of any illnesses, flu's,
bug or airborne illness that has been seen on the island in the last 12
    months?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.......

I can understand why the group owner many not post this message but we
    need some HELP....
