Dinner (except Monday and Tuesday) at the Mango Tango Restaurant in the Zona Viva, which has an extensive salad bar (rare in Honduras) and the Vidoria Restaurant on the Old Estero with excellent steamed fish rubbed in herbs or the Quinta Real Restaurant on the Beach (www.QuintaRealHotel.com) or Iguana Restaurant (www.CocoPando.com). If time, try lunch at the boutique hotels at Playa Helen east of La Ceiba or the grilled lobster and shrimp at the Garifuna community of Sambo Creek. Weather will be warm, but you might have cool nights in the Pico Bonito mountains. The Lodge can coordinate for you the several canopy tours especially the one with the hot springs, Cuero y Salado for canoes which is the land time forgot 24 sq. km. of lagoons with thousands of monkeys and manatee, etc. right outside of Ceiba or rafting/kayaking/birding/hiking/horses on the Rio Cangrejal. -----Original Message----- From: ginaludlow To: travel-to-honduras.....com Sent: Sat, 8 Jul 2006 02:00:18 -0000 Subject: [travel-to-honduras] Traveling to Honduras Hello, I am new to this group. I will be traveling to Honduras this month. We will be visiting Copan for 2 days then spending 5 days at the Lodge at Pico Bonito. Can anyone give me recommendations about what to pack for the weather and places to eat dinner while at the Lodge. Actually, any recommendations about things to do while visiting would be welcome. Gina
