I actually do not know of the ID requirements to open bank accounts. I would say your best source of info would be the branch manager at your local Atlantida office. Even if you call customer service and get some info, it's the branch that will open the account and will ask for the documentation they have been instructed to request.

There had been rumor that Banco Atlantida had been easing up on regulations and is now permitting non-residents to open bank accounts. Do you have any information on this or do you know anyone I might be able to call to find out if this is accurate?
Another way to fund an extended vacation trip is to open a bank account and have funds direct deposited (wired) from home.
