I believe Boca del Toro is in Panama. I haven't heard of anything of that name in Honduras. Balfate is about 1 hour from La Ceiba and has beautiful beaches and is probably about the closest mainland location to Cayos Cochinos. Anyway, the Cayos Cochinos appear huge and just about off shore from Balfate. There are boats going back and forth from Balfate and nearby Jutialpa to Cayos Cochinos every day. Land is Balfate is not yet discovered---for example 110 acres with 2,700 feet of white sand beach frontage, plus a nice lagoon for only $499,000 total. Road access is a bit bumpy, but worth the trip.

Can someone pleae tell me how far from laciaba boca de toro is. I
heard from someone in a post a while back that there is some great
diving there on the reef. Can it be dove from the shore or does one
need a boat to access the diving. I checked out a map but being so big
it didnt show how far it really is. I believe it's one of the small
towns or village inbetween cieba and trujillo. One of the many reasons
I would like to move to the cieba area is for good afforable diving
without having to pay the high prices out in the bay islands. I
realize the cayos canchinos is close to cieba and I bet thats good
aswell. Any information on this would be appreciated. Thanks Randy
