Hello Fred & Susan. I'm sorry I cant help you with many of your questions since I dont live there but would very much like to one day. I have been in touch with some wonderful people from this group and I'm sure all your questions will be answered. What I ask of you is to note my E-mail address and when you get settled in please do write me and tell me all about it. I would love to hear your points of view, etc about your new life in the beautiful country of honduras. My address is roaddkingg.....com As you learn more perhaps it will help me get there sooner rather than later. Thanks for your consideration. Randy(Indiana)

FRED SUSAN KLOPFER wrote: Just wanted to say hello to everyone. My husband, Fred, and I are moving to
Honduras in about six months so I have a few questions. We've decided not
bring bring anything but our cats, laptops -- really they are our laptops
:>) -- and three outfits of clothing! So this is going to be an exciting
adventure for us. We're considering leceib since it looks quite interesting
    and affordable.

How difficult will it be to get work permits and residency? Fred is a
psychologist and would like to do a part time practice. We will have to
learn about licensure, as well, so I'd appreciate any comments on this. I'm
a writer and will continue to work with my projects.

Can anyone recommend where to look for affordable housing? I think we want
to rent at first until we have some time to look around. Are there any
university-type communities? Of course we'll need Internet connections.

Do we need work permits to do volunteer work? My Spanish is pretty good but
I'll want to attend some classes. Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help. The region looks beautiful and I know we will enjoy our
new life. We decided to come early and beat the boomers...
